American Idol - Top Three
Quick post, because there's really not much to say.
I thought:
1. All three of them had fairly strong nights.
2. Archuleta's "And So It Goes" and Cook's "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" were the best of the evening.
3. Archuleta dancing to Chris Brown was hilarious.
4. If one more person sings "Fever" on American Idol, I will throw myself off a bridge.
5. The producers suck ass at picking songs for contestants.
And, oh yeah.
6. Syesha is finally going home.

The producers did a LOUSY job. Although I think their choice for David A was intentional because they're still pissed at his dad.
If only Idol was all about hair. Then Jason Castro wouldn't have gotten the boot. I'm a fan of hair.
yes, I agree, the producers picked lame songs. And I am SO glad you said that about "Fever," cuz the whole time she was singing it I was thinking "didn't someone JUST sing this song???"
I gotta say, I haven't watched a single episode all season. Actually if you count up all the snippets I've watched then yes, I seem to have watched an entire episode. For some reason I couldn't get into it this year but perhaps I'll test out the final three tonight. Maybe. If I don't have something else to do like washing my hair.
By the way have you read that AI is losing viewers? I don't know what it is as the show hasn't changed drastically but still interesting.
HB, oh yeah. It's all over about them losing viewers. The big stink is Ryan possibly leaving/getting the boot to go take over Larry King Live. WTH??? That pisses me off. Because I actually think Ryan is a really GOOD part of the show. Why don't we kick Paula off, cause she is ridiculous! But she does weird stuff like flub her lines and that bumps ratings, so they'll keep her.
My main thought on why the ratings suffered this year is that they actually had a really talented group of kids, but none of them had any major offline controversies a la Antonella, or were so pathetic like Sanjaya that people kept up the water cooler discussion. Not to mention, they had to have a dip SOMETIME.
suck ass. good one.
time for Syesha to go directly to Broadway and not look back.
David A should win so that David C can have full creative control away from AI. I like Cook MUCH better, but you know how restricted he'll be with Idol.
Ryan drives me NUTS with the whole "THISSSSSSS is AMERICAN IDOL" & banter with Simon. Enough already.
Yup, I agree. It will be a battle of the Davids.

For the first time this season, my TiVo misbehaved and didn't record last night's show. At first I was annoyed, but then I knew I could count on your tell-it-like-it-is analysis for what I missed -- and it doesn't sound like I missed much. Oh, and you would not BELIEVE the flap in the SLC media about David Archuleta and The Stage Dad Scandal. Ugh.
I gotta say, I'm not so sure Syesha is going home this week. I'm taking a long shot and voting for Archu-lizard (so named because I swear he breaths through his tongue...just watch him).
David Cook must have a #1 album out by now right? He's SO MUCH BETTER than the other two, it's ridiculous.
Alright, I think I am missing details on the stage dad thing. Fill me in.
And Dial Idol has Syesha pretty solidly at #3. We'll see!

I was just saying to my husband last night, why, why, why, do the producer picks go last? They're always lame. The judges always hate them. We always hate them. Why end on a lame note?
Anyway, I thought Cook was the best again.
And why are they pissed at Cook's dad? (as per sister's comment?)
