McCain's Golf Gear

Mickelah twittered this just now and I am so astonished I opened my Blogger dashboard in about .042 seconds and started a new post to share it with you all.

JOHN McCAIN FEELS HIS PERSONAL GOLF GEAR IS SO IMPORTANT THAT IT RANKS AS 1/4 OF THE NAVIGATION ON THE MAIN PAGE OF HIS OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN SITE.

Yes, right up there with STRATEGY, DECISION CENTER, GENERAL ELECTION, McCain and his people have decided to put GOLF GEAR.

Yeah, THAT'S the man I want running the country come January. THAT's the person who cares about the issues and is in touch with the common man.

YEAH RIGHT.

I think it is unfair to say that because he likes his golf gear he doesn't care as much about the country as Obama.
Just saying...

I think someone who endured being a POW has earned his right to enjoy golf.

And this is coming from a girl who hates golf but really enjoys your blogs so don't hate me.

Wow, so you really think his golf gear is something that is appropriate to have front and center on his web site? A game that is primarily for white rich people? That selling his gold gear is important as Strategy and the other things listed there?

Hey, he can play golf all he wants. Actually, I take that back. I am tired of having a president who takes vacation for months at a time. He *can't* play golf all he wants. He can like golf all he wants.

But, for him to have the balls to put something like that fronts and center, positions liked that on his site, send a very distinct message in my opinion.

ha, and I like my typo of "gold gear" instead of golf gear. Totally accidental.

Well, the Online Marketer in me says that's just bad design. The devious daughter in me is ordering that right now as a gag Father's Day gift.

Did you know last year he had March Madness Brackets on his webpage?

Ugh, losing my lunch.
Golf tees to the rescue.

I agree, if he wants to push his goods, do so in the shop buddy - at least give the impression that you care about the $5 gas we're facing, oh and that war we're in the midst of.

And Lord, please let me go a week without hearing that because he was a POW the presidency should be wrapped in a nice little bow for him.

I really wish I could say I was astonished, but I'm not. At this point, he'd have to be running nekkid down the street to freak me out. ;) This should not be on his website, maybe on the "shop" page, but certainly not on the front page. Even the Current Occupant "gave up golf" (riiiiiiiiight) for the troops. Sigh...

As I am looking now, it's not there. In the center is something about a strategy briefing.

I don't know why this popped in my head, but perhaps he hired Gene Simmons (of KISS fame) to do his marketing. Have you ever seen all the crazy shit that he markets?

Look out for McCain thongs and condoms. Maybe a blowup doll. Hey, it works for Gene, right?

I clearly need more sleep.

All these comments are right. I know i make my political decisions based on websites. It's not a persons policies, experience (or lack thereof), or anything irrelevant like that. If I see an ad on a politicians websites, forget it!

Because we all know, running a presidential campaign leaves you with a lot time to kill, so you'd most likely be heavily involved in what goes where on your website.

har har, point taken. And in retrospect, now that I am not so ticked off, its probably not as big of a deal as my rant and more web stupidity like others have commented. Either way just one more reason I won't be voting for him. And trust me, there are many.

Liking golf simply means McCain is human. Does it relate to the election? No. It's simply showing a lighter side, which most average people appreciate. Atleast McCain isn't a a terrorist in sheep's clothing. It's amazing that people can't see Obama for the antichrist that he really is.
