So, my mom and my aunt arrived yesterday! Hooray! To watch Declan this week while he is still out of school. Double hooray! Declan is out of his mind excited! Triple hooray!
Seriously. I am so thankful they were able to come.
But here is the thing. No matter how old you get, there are SOME THINGS you just never get comfortable discussing with your mom. And one of them is the movie TEAM AMERICA.
Bryan and I rewatched that twisted, yet hysterically funny, movie the other night. BEFORE my mom and aunt came to visit. But, of course, we are still quoting it, singing it, and generally wallowing in the grossness of puppets having anal sex with each other onscreen.
Our big mistake? Mentioning it in front of my mom and aunt.
"Oh! What's that movie about?"
Have you ever tried to explain a movie like Team America to a 67 year old woman who likes to watch Murder She Wrote and romantic comedies?
All I can say is this:
FUCK YEAH!

I had forgotten about that movie and NO I would NOT watch it with my folks because I would shrivel up into my couch and die. ha. ha.

You know what is funny? I loved Team America but HATED Superbad. HATED. I just thought it was all burp and fart jokes for 13 year old boys.
But yes, that would still be hard to explain to my mother.
