October Greeblepix Contest
Yes, time flies! And it's already GREEBLEPIX PHOTO CONTEST WEEK again! But as I mentioned last month, we have some changes around here. As in, a wonderful sponsor, which equates to a WONDERFUL PRIZE, for the winner of this month's Greeblepix contest.
Are you ready? Really? Cause the prize is so awesome I can barely stand it.
The Greeblepix winner will receive a $250 rental from Pro Photo Rental.
TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS, DUDES!
That's a nice hunk of camera rental!
So... that kick ass lens you have been dying to try out with your Canon, Nikon or Olympus DSLR? Go for it! And Pro Photo Rental also rents full DSLR cameras so you could try a really great system that you have been drooling over! (Although, pssst! The Pro Photo Rental folks have warned me their bodies rent quick, so you would need to get on the calendar for a full kit.)
But who cares! Like I said, $250 worth of camera rental is A LOT! And they offer free 3-day shipping each way. So it's like Netflix for camera equipment.
But, with the good, comes the bad - as in RULES.
OFFICIAL GREEBLEPIX CONTEST RULES:
1. All levels of photographers are welcome. Encouraged, even. Everyone, everyone, everyone is welcome.
2. Except! No family members of Greeblemonkey are eligible.
3. You must be the photographer of the photo you submit and have clearance for any people in the photos.
4. One photo/entry per person per month.
5. Photo can be taken specifically for the contest, or in the past. Just one of your photographs that you are particularly loving right now!
6. United States photographers only. (I know! We are sorry! But shipping is outrageous these days!)
7. No anonymous entries.
8. Photos must be submitted below by 10pm Mountain time, Tuesday October 21st, 2008 to be considered.
So, ready to join in? Here's how it goes...
PHASE ONE (Monday thru Tuesday night):
1. Select your entry photo.
2. Post your pic on your blog, or on Flickr.
3. Use this badge in your post, if you like. (Right click and pull down to "Save Image As" to grab the badge).
4. Add the URL of your photo to Mr. Linky below to enter the contest.
5. The deadline for entries is 10pm Mountain time, Tuesday October 21st, 2008.
PHASE TWO (Wednesday Morning - Thursday Night):
6. I will select 5 finalists to go into a group voter widget on this here blog. Check back on Wednesday to see if you made it!
7. *Everyone* votes for the final winner! Voting ends Thursday, October 23rd at midnight.
PHASE THREE (Friday Morning):
8. I will reveal the Greeblepix Winner of the Month!
9. The winner will receive the prize from Pro Photo Rental via email once I officially give the word.
